anyways, i had this weird experience because i decided to host a merienda (snack time) at the office today. i have been very grateful by the love that the officemates have shown me, so i decided to treat people out to ice cream. it was such a small gesture, compare to what they have done for me, but i couldn't help but feel grateful again that they were so thankful. :)
3 gallons of ice cream, sugar cones, and some other snacks: check!
happy people: check!
happy me: check!
last night was kind of a bad night because when i got home around 8 PM, i had no electricity! of course, it wasn't a brown-out, but just something wrong with my house. i had to sit in the dark for 2 hours or so, before the electrician fixed the problem. during those two hours, he blew the fuse on the whole entire floor, so i sat through a stephen kings' novel-esque scary setting... dark hallway, echoing voices and singing of children, illuminating green exit sign, blinding darkness... yeah, that was not cool.
i have been failing miserably with the half-marathon preparation. andrew tried to motivate me yesterday, but really, i just can't get myself to run. it's so BORING. :( any suggestions or tips?
some people I know like to listen to sermons while they run to kill two birds with one stone! but as for me, I can't focus on running and listening to a sermon, so i just get some really good upbeat music... like 80s! (Journey is excellent) :D
ReplyDeleteYou need to find a pretty area to run. Then it's like exploring and not running
ReplyDeletei need to find a way to FOOL myself into thinking that i am not running. maybe watching a movie would help.
ReplyDeleteand...where will i find a "pretty" place near me in Manila? :(
